The Southern Communities Transport Scheme is a Community Service organisation providing public transport to residents within parts of Alexandrina and Victor Harbor Councils, and is sponsored by Local Government, the Passenger Transport Division, and Home and Community Care (H.A.C.C.). Community Transport Services try to be flexible and responsive to the individual needs of passengers, and are provided on a door-to-door basis, particularly where assistance is required from the home or into the destination.

Passenger services offered by the Southern Communities Transport Scheme include the following. Donations much appreciated.

MEDI-RIDE – car services transporting pre-booked passengers to medical appointments either in the local area or to major public hospitals and specialist medical centres in Adelaide.

DIAL-A-RIDE – door to door shopping service operating Tuesday and Thursday for Victor Harbor and Port Elliot residents, and Friday for Goolwa and Middleton residents.

One community bus for hire (for community groups).

Residents and community groups wishing to enquire or book passenger transport services can contact Mary-Anne or Trudy at the above numbers, or call at the office between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Answering machine available for after hours messages.
